Usability in names
When you take a close look at some Apple products, you’ll notice that they normally don’t use cryptic names for their products. For example: Macbook, iPod, iLife. Their product names are made out of real words.
When we look at some other products, like my recently purchased Samsung N310 0r the Nokia N72 mobile phone, it will become clear that Apple names are much more recognizable for people.
Conclusion: product names which are made out of real words, make life easier!
Samsung N310 Ubuntu
A new post after a looooong time…
I replaced my Acer Aspire One netbook for the Samsung N310. It has a 10inch screen, Atom inside, 1GB of Ram, 160GBs of space and a nice keyboard. Almost everything works on it after installing Ubuntu 9.04. The only thing that doesn’t work is the brightness control with the ‘Fn’ keys (the power manager works though). So if your looking for a Ubuntu ready netbook, buy this one!
